“A Deep Dive into FMLA and ADA.” This presentation breaks down the Family Medical Leave act and the Americans with Disabilities Act to help Managers/Supervisors/etc. understand each of these processes, understand what their obligations are, and best practices when employees requests leave under one or both of these Acts. The section covering the ADA also touches briefly on the new federal law The Pregnant Worker’s Fairness Act (PWFA) that went into effect on June 27, 2023, and explains an employer’s obligations under the act and how they may be similar or different to those under the ADA.
